Welcome to my ePorftolio!
I am a Translation and Localization professional based in Southern California and originally from Mexico. I specialize in translation and localization management and I have been a linguist for over 18 years (en-US >es-LA, es-MX & es-US). My professional and educational journey has been full of zig zags but in localization I have found the place where all my acquired knowledge and experience serves its purpose.
I have a bachelor’s in biology from the University of California San Diego and a master’s in public health from National School of Public Health, Sergio Arouca at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation More recently, in May 2024, I earned a master’s in translation and localization management at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
Understanding the intersection between technology, language and well-being has been one of my passions for many years. Localization is precisely the industry where language access can improved our well-being. Whether it is through a consumer product like your cell phone that lets you communicate on a daily basis with your favorite people, the coffee machine that helps you start your day on the right foot or an app that helps you manage your day, without product and software localization our life would not be as good.
I invite you to navigate through my site to find out more about my interests (including my love for photography) and my experience working with different translation and localization technologies.
Reach out to learn how I can help your products/services reach a global market or if you have any other questions! Thank you for your time!
